Los candidatos no entienden los problemas estructurales que llevan a la delincuencia y al narcotráfico. Se tiene que hacer un control de fronteras, pero no es todo lo que se tiene que hacer, también está el tema portuario que ha sido muy poco tratado, (en alusión a que algunos puertos sirven para el tráfico de estupefacientes).
El general Altamirano, dice que están reunidos 8 profesionales en el tema de la seguridad y que planean presentar a la ciudadanía, algunos planes de los candidatos, “sin centrarse en temas políticos”.
